Students from the Professional Technical Course in Restaurants and Bars and from the Professional Technical Course in Commerce visited the Vale da Estrela Dairy this Wednesday.

The courses are part of the Carregal do Sal Group of Schools and the group consisted of three teachers and 12 students and was the first guided tour of a school to Vale da Estrela Dairy.

They toured the various spaces of the Dairy, contacted the cheesemakers and watched the production process following artisanal techniques.

In their report, students and teachers stated that “the whole group really liked the way it was received”. Still in the words of the students, “the explanations and visualization of the whole process was very enlightening, our congratulations and our thanks”.

The group’s photo was taken in the multimedia space of Vale da Estrela Dairy, which has on display products and promotional materials about pastoralism and cheese production in Serra da Estrela, namely the projection of videos.
