Vale da Estrela will start exporting Serra da Estrela PDO cheeses to the Spanish market, through El Corte Inglés.

Spain is the first step towards Vale da Estrela export project, with the placement of several hundred PDO cheeses on El Corte Inglês shops network , in the region of Madrid.

This is “La Feria de Europa”, an exhibition of around two thousand artisanal products, the best European cuisine and some of them exclusive.

For the organization, this is an excellent opportunity for Spaniards to enjoy typical food from neighboring countries without leaving Spain.

The El Corte Inglés initiative has been taking place for several years and usually takes place for more than a month in several Spanish regions.

In previous editions, typical products from Portugal, France, Germany, United Kingdom, Ireland, Italy, Belgium Switzerland, Holland, Greece and Russia participated in the event.

In addition to the Spanish market, Vale da Estrela Dairy already has proposals to export Vale da Estrela PDO cheese to other European countries.
