One more suggestion for a perfect match between a Serra da Estrela cheese and a good wine.

The suggestion is published in the magazine Vinho – Grandes Escolhas , by Fernando Melo:

Not long ago I tasted a good Serra da Estrela Cheese with a 2007 Vintage and it was wonderful. But it’s not true that it’s the best connection, because next to a good Encruzado – white queen variety of Dão – nothing else works as well as Serra da Estrela. And now? A Vintage Port and a dry white from Dão side by side, when they have little or nothing in common? At least it gives you something to think about.
