THE CHEESE AND THE MOUNTAIN OF JORGE COELHO

The newspaper “Jornal de Negócios” published an article about Vale da Estrela Dairy where it tells the routine of artisanal production of a PDO cheese and also future projects.

Jornal de Negócios published a long story about the cheese dairy developed by Jorge Coelho following an activity that was already carried out by his family, in Mangualde.

This journalistic piece that you me read here  details the way in which a PDO Serra da Estrela cheese is produced, the art of cheesemakers in the production of a natural product and in the use of whey for cottage cheese.

The report on “the cheese and the mountain of Jorge Coelho”, goes beyond the cheese dairy, it also reports other projects that are prepared to be developed in the summer months, when there is no milk. An industrial kitchen has already been set up to make pumpkin and red fruits jams, and also Apple Bravo de Esmolfe.

The journalists also referred the handicrafts that are on display at the premises of Vale da Estrela Dairy.
