A delegation from the Instituto Universitário Militar (IUM) and students from the Army Staff Course visited the Vale da Estrela Dairy as part of a study trip to the region of Viseu.

The delegation consisted of the Deputy Director of the IUM, Major General Jorge Filipe Marques Moniz Corte-Real Andrade, the Director of the Army General Staff Course, Artillery Colonel Carlos Manuel Cordeiro Rodrigues, the Coordinating Officer of the visit, and 18 students.

The delegation observed the production process of Serra da Estrela PDO cheese and cottage cheese and learned about the pastoral activity in the region.

The IUM is a public higher education institution and manages the Army Staff Course with the aim of preparing senior Army officers to perform General Staff functions.
