About 200 international students from the Católica University were at Vale da Estrela Dairy to watch the production of Serra da Estrela PDO cheese following traditional methods.

The visit took place within the scope of the UCP – International Student Meeting that took place in Viseu on the 10th of November and according to the testimony of the President of the Catolica University of Viseu, the visit to Vale da Estrela Dairy was one of the most enriching initiatives of the program that brought together students from 37 countries and from several continents.

One of the objectives of the UCP – International Student Meeting is the sharing of experiences and cultures and it was in this context that the visit took place with technicians and cheesemakers from Vale da Estrela to show the production process of Vale da Estrela PDO cheese and cottage cheese using artisanal methods.

The students from the Católica University also visited the Grão Vasco and Sé Museums, toured the historic center of Viseu and also the Street Art itinerary.
