SAFEGUARDING CULTURAL HERITAGE

Since the pandemic constraints are over, Mangualde Schools Group resumed the project “Digital Ambassadors of the Cultural Heritage” which promotes the cultural interchange associated with Herasmus+ Program, between students of Mangualde and foreign students from Turkey, Lithuania, Latvia and Rumania.

With the purpose to present the cultural heritage of Mangualde and Serra da Estrela region, Vale da Estrela Dairy was chosen to receive the visit of 41 students coming from those countries.

The visit included the tasting of Vale da Estrela products such as cheese, cottage cheese, pumpkin and blueberry jams, and included a pitching on the production process, thus sharing the know-how and history of a very unique product like Serra da Estrela PDO cheese.
