Vale da Estrela Dairy and Centro Nacional de Cultura (CNC), through the President of the Arts Council, Guilherme de Oliveira Martins, developed a partnership on the historical and cultural heritage of the Serra da Estrela shepherds and cheese.

In the coming quarters, a group of 30 to 40 members of the CNC will visit Vale da Estrela Dairy, in Mangualde, where they can see the art of cheesemakers in the production of cheese using artisanal techniques.

Vale da Estrela Dairy also has a multimedia exhibition on pastoralism in Serra da Estrela and cheese production, as well as a collection of books on cheese, in several languages.

The objective is to make Vale da Estrela Dairy a hub for the dissemination of the cultural traits of pastoralism and the production of Serra da Estrela PDO cheese.

For this purpose, Vale da Estrela dairy is available for guided tours, namely of schools, having already hosted more than four hundred people.
