It was a difficult decision. Really daring. But the principles and values that presided over the development of the Vale da Estrela project spoke louder.

From one moment to the next, everything changed and, as always happens, it is the weakest who suffer the most.

Unfortunately, in many parts of the country and particularly in Serra da Estrela, it is the Shepherds and Cheese Makers who see their darkest future.

Sales fell brutally, the mobility of people stopped and the direct consequence is that the cheese dairies stopped buying milk from the shepherds and some fired the cheesemakers that produce the extraordinary PDO Cheese.

We believe in our Project, we have enormous respect for those who have believed in Us since the beginning and in particular for our Shepherds, our Cheese Makers and the extraordinary customers who fill us with joy with the strength they give us to continue.

And we decided. Against all odds, full of confidence, we continue in full swing, thus giving hope to everyone in a better future, and contributing to the dynamism of the quality of life for about 60 families and guaranteeing this authentic Delicacy of the Gods for all.

We believe in the future and for that we have to take risks and work very hard in the present.

But for that, they all need, we all need, your help, more than ever.
