Cheese Puff from Madre de Água

 

Recipe from Restaurant Madre de Água in Vinhó, Gouveia.

 Ingredients:

  • Puff pastry
  • Serra da Estrela Cheese
  • Honey
  • Salad
  • Balsamic Vinegar
  • Dried Nuts
  • Egg

 

Preparation:

 

  1. Cut a piece of Serra cheese (9 to 10 cm);
  1. Wrap the piece of cheese with the puff pastry, gluing the edges of the pastry;
  2. Bake at 180º until cooked;
  3. Decorate the dish to taste with balsamic vinegar reduction and spread a little honey on top of the puff pastry;
  4. Spread nuts on top of the puff pastry;
  5. Serve with mixed salad.
