The room was full to hear the Mangualde Schools Youth Orchestra, this Saturday in Lisbon, in an initiative by the Vale da Estrela Dairy.

A new concert is scheduled for next year and it will be at the Estoril Casino.

Several hundred people were present at the Altis hotel in Lisbon to attend the concert by the Orquestra Juvenil das Escolas de Mangualde, an initiative that Jorge Coelho, director of Vale da Estrela Dairy, highlighted as part of the objective of making a showcase of culture and economy of Mangualde in Lisbon.

The Mayor of Mangualde, João Azevedo, announced the opening of a store/representation of Mangualde in Lisbon that will reach many of the foreigners who visit Portugal and pass through the capital.

Jorge Coelho took the opportunity to thank the Orquestra Juvenil das Escolas de Mangualde, its conductor and the director of the Agrupamento de Escolas de Mangualde for their willingness to be present in this initiative and announced that next year the event would take place at Casino do Estoril, announcement witnessed by one of the Casino administrators, present in the room.

Several personalities were present, most of them linked to business, political and cultural organizations.

The Orquestra Juvenil das Escolas de Mangualde played ten songs and had an excellent reception from the public, sometimes with standing ovations.

In addition to the concert, it was also possible to see a photographic exhibition on pastoralism and the production of Serra da Estrela PDO cheese and also to taste some products from Vale da Estrela Dairy.
