It is possible to visit the Vale da Estrela Dairy, in Mangualde, and see how Serra da Estrela PDO cheese is produced. On the premises there is also a shop.

The Vale da Estrela Dairy, which started this month producing the Serra da Estrela PDO Cheese, the Serra da Estrela Mature PDO Cheese and the Serra da Estrela Cottage PDO cheese, allows guided tours. You may apply here.

In addition to seeing the entire production process, the installations have products and promotional materials about pastoralism and cheese production in Serra da Estrela, namely the projection of videos.

There is also a shop on the premises of the Dairy for the sale of Vale da Estrela products.
